The main research themes of the lab include fire history reconstuctions and its spatio-temporal analysis in Scandinavia, dendroecology of oak and beech in Southern Sweden, and use of tree-ring data to reconstruct past environmental variability.

As a part of our commitment to enhance international cooperation and promote tree-ring science to different parts of scientific community, the laboratory is actively engaged in organizing Fennoscandian fieldweeks, an intensive course for Master and PhD level students.
